Yay!!~

one of man's basic needs - shelter!

and i had a close brush with having to struggle with this basic need yesterday as i called the accomms office to enquire about my accomms allocation...

me: (makes enquiry)

the woman at the other end of the line: let me tell you you're not likely to get any of your (seven) choices because all the halls you've chosen are very hot property, and they're fully occupied. your choices indicate that you're willing to pay for a singleensuite room, and you're (most?) likely to be allocated rooms in (halls) X, Y or Z.

I listened in dismay. All these halls she mentioned are damn damn far away from campus! like a 45min tube ride! i dunno if you all can imagine how terrible this is, staying SO FAR AWAY from sch in a totally foreign land! i was almost pleading with her when i tried asking her if there were any more spaces in this hall that is not vv near campus but still qt near. then that woman was SUPER RUDE and kept brushing me off. damn it lah! but i was too worried to be pissed with her, and after i put down the phone i stared into space and then broke into tears and then prayed to God...

at night annabelle msged me saying her accoms is out and asked me to check my email! i excitedly went to check! and guess what, i got a twinensuite room in S outh side, the newly built hall which is damn near campus!!! imagine my joy and relief! even though i nv chose twin room at all! thank God for answering my prayers! :)

but earlier today i went to check out (some of) my future hallmates in facebk. and i had a mini-culture shock. haiz. and now i begin to wonder/worry about my future roommate. cos i nv had the intention of applying for a twin room at all (all my choices were single rooms). hope she will be at least someone i dun mind living with for the next three terms =S=S

oh yah there are only two ppl i noe staying in the same hall as me so far! i hope there will be more. haiiii
